Kane and Dier spent nine seasons at Tottenham Hotspur before the former was signed by the Bundesliga champions in 2023. The defender soon reunited with his buddy at the Allianz Arena in January 2024, initially arriving on loan. Although the club made the signing permanent last summer, Dier struggled to break into head coach Vincent Kompany's starting XI. Despite being offered a new contract, Dier decided to leave Bavaria as a free agent this summer, joining French heavyweights Monaco on a three-year deal.

Dier posted a series of photos on Instagram, reflecting upon his journey at Bayern Munich. He wrote: "Became a father here, became a champion here. Danke für alles @fcbayern und München. Wish the team all the best today for the start of the Club World Cup!"
