A century from Matthew Maynard wasn’t enough for Glamorgan to reach their target of 268 after Robert White and Timothy Roberts put on an opening stand of 124. Elsewhere, Lancashire scraped home by one run against Hampshire at The Rose Bowl, Surrey remained at the foot of the table after they lost to Gloucestershire at The Oval, and Essex are only one place above them after Warwickshire’s Brad Hogg took 5 for 23 to help his side to victory at Edgbaston by 54 runs.In Division Two, Middlesex increased their lead at the top by thrashing Derbyshire at Southgate. Kevin Pietersen led Nottinghamshire to victory against Somerset with 82 not out, and Leicestershire beat Sussex by 48 runs at Grace Road.
